Who's in for Sonic on Monday?

Just a reminder to those of us who celebrate the first Spring Training game with a trek to Mecca---Monday is footlong chili cheese time!

do y'all meet at the same Sonic, or is it a meeting in spirit kind of thing?  I will be glad to gorge myself on Sonic Monday, but cannot guarantee where I will be when that takes place...

We don't meet.  We just figured out that a bunch of us had this tradition on the first Spring Training game, sort of by accident.

My traditional footlong chili cheese, tater tots (with cheese) and Route 44 Lemon Berry Slush is a whopping 1890 calories, with 85 g of fat and 252 carbs.  That is like 3 or 4 days for me, thank goodness Spring Training only happens once a year.

I've already made plans. I've been thinking about it since pitchers and catchers reported.

Of course, at some point, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to just make some dogs here at work. Something I might survive.

Hmm...Sonic's website says there's one in Raleigh.  I guess I might be able to make it.  Surprising, since I don't think I've seen one driving around since I moved here.

If not, I ate lunch in the bar from 'Bull Durham' today...that's a pretty damn good way to start off a season, if I do say so myself!

Mitch's.  Cool little place, though it sort of turned into a Bull Durham shrine.  At any rate, if there's no Sonic around, there's no better place to eat lunch on a nice spring day in Raleigh than the Char-Grill.
