Can't make this week's.  Are they on next week, or taking a break pre-T/G?

I expect to be making an appearance this week.  Anyone else going?  How is it a BWW compared to Sherlock's?

I can vouch for Limey.  He will be bringing a hot chick.  Let me repeat.  A.  Hot.  Chick.

In case anyone didn't listen, Milo made a comment last night about Ed's phone ringing alot while he was visiting with him today.  Seems like there might be some kind of move forthcoming.

Take the bus.

I should.

I was driving around not two blocks from there the other day. I was on Milam with aspirations of turning right on Gray which would take me right past the place in question. Anyway, much to my consternation there was some fuckwit in an Escalade blocking the right turn lane with no visible intention of turning right. There were three or four (now four or five) cars behind him, all sitting there patiently with their turn indicators on while this jackoff sits happily blocking the one of five selectable lanes that the rest of us would like to use. No one will be surprised to learn that this is just the sort of thing that drives me fucking out of my mind.

Light turns green. You know what happens next. Fuckwit turns right. He glides up to a stop at the next light, Gray and Louisiana. He chooses the lane second from the right. I pull in to his left so I can glare at him. He is oblivious. Suddenly and without warning he guns the accelerator and wheels his Escalade onto Louisiana, turning right from an interior lane. I don't know why but I was shocked. I'm sitting there astounded with my mouth open and my eyes the size of Eisenhower dollars. The guy behind fuckwit eases up to take his place. I look over to him planning to share outrage and commiseration. He too is completely oblivious.

This week's guest is Brian Bogusevic.

Who?  Ohhhhh... you mean the kid who might be the starting left fielder this year!  Gotcha!

Judging by the quality of driving in this city the last couple of months, DPS is pumping lead paint through its drinking fountains, and the people seeking licenses are lapping it up to the point of brain damage. I almost suffered an aneurysm waiting behind an Escalade to turn right on red downtown in a right-turn lane this morning. No cars coming the other way. Just some dickwad sitting at the light with his fist up his ass.

Probably one of those goddam interlopers from up north. There are great swaths of Yankeeland where a decent sort is not allowed to carry a concealed weapon, marry a first cousin OR turn right at a red light. Did you know that? Pisses me off just thinking about it.

It's difficult for me to say for certain because Limey was busy distracting me with one of his socialist rants, some nonsense about how dark skinned people and sporadic deserve a single payer system, anyway, I think I heard Wallace say something about how helpful it was to work with Bagwell and how it helped him make adjustments as he got more ABs. I suppose it could have been lip service.

Per FooterTweet:  This week there's no Milo and Jim Deshaies will serve as co-host, and guest.

Perfect.  I'll be there.

My wife and I will be there this week too.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Hobbs.

Exactly.

Bone Springs/Avalon Shale or Lea County Correctional Facility business?  Not sure of any other reason one might find himself in SE NM.

My symphathies.  I've been there, and it sucks.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

If they got one, I don't know where it is.  And I sniff out those kinds of things.
