NLCS Game 6

I think Buckarver, when they say "redundant", actually mean "babbling irrelevance".
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Sir, did you once play for, work for, or possibly root for one of the two teams playing tonight?

Do you speak English or some other language well enough to communicate a simple list?

Are you able to read off this cue card or at least stare at this cue card?

How would you like to be on FOX?

If Tim McCarver were to lose the use of one of his senses, and could CHOOSE which sense to lose, that sense would be "oboe."

Anyone else holding their breath waiting for Timmy to connect the dots between the most walks and the best BAA?  If I disappear for 30 mins, send paramedics.

Haha.

Fucking OU.  They suck so hard, they could lose at home to Iowa State.

I hope he pitches a 2-hour gem, and leqves Fox with a ton of dead air.  Also, it's less time listening to Buckarver.

Whats funny is that on TBS Ernie Johnson and John Smoltz would be just fine together, but they can't have that. They got to have an annoyance factor so they added Ron Darling. There must have been some study from some marketing consulting firm from Boston that recommends having an annoyance factor in the booth. All the Networks adhere to it.

I can't believe he's let something that close be decided by the ump. Swing dumbass!

Oh well. Good for the Giants.

Oh yeah.  Cue the whinging from the East Coast media.  Fuck 'em,

And, yes, Howard needed to be swinging at that pitch.  Or was he expecting the guy behind him to do his job for him?

The goggles are just silly...

I'm surprised that the Gnats won tonight, but don't think they can hold up against the stRangers (though I'll be rooting for them to do so...).

Creepy old white guys in bow ties (sorry Neil) trying to sound enthusiastic about being handed a woodshop project by an even older white guy while standing in front of a drop cloth in a barn.

Fark wins again: "Philadelphia fans attempted to slip laxatives to Giants players during the NLCS. Should have given them to the Phillies instead, they could have used the runs"

This is one (of many) reasons why I find the automatic 50-game suspension for PEDs to be troublesome (and why I generally despise WADA).  As an athlete you are deemed responsible for everything you put into your body.  What is to stop some crazed Philly fan (or any fan) working at a restaurant, etc. from spiking a players food with some prohibit chemical?  Don't get me wrong, you cheat you should get pounded.  However, you get your food spiked, you take a supplement that is spiked with banned substances (which are not included on the label, or included under a different chemical name for the same compound, e.g. Daniel Meszaros), 50 games it too steep.

I'm sure "beyond a reasonable doubt" is inherent in their decision process and their lawyers likely are involved in the appeal process we don't see.  100% accurate?  Certainly not.  Enough so?  Probably.

From the (few) things I've read, that's exactly the problem with WADA: their definition of reasonable doubt is such that nobody can ever satisfy it. And in one case, they even acknowledged that the guy was getting screwed, and then kept on screwing him anyway. Add to that the lack of transparency in their lab work, and there seems to be plenty of reason to worry about them.
