Fuck the Cubs, Volume 1
« on: October 01, 2010, 08:07:29 pm »
Well, I won't be doing PBP, but I had to comment on Pence's pathetic attempt at the ball that scored the Cubs' second run. I'm not sure what the proper analogy is, but it isn't flattering.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

I'm going to pretend that the Coriolis Effect had something to do with it. It wasn't pretty.

Bases loaded B5, Bud at 96 pitches, Bud bats? Hmmmmmmm

Middle 6: CHC 2, HOU 0

Bud with 7 walks...
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Yeah, I didn't really agre with that one.  It seemed to me that pinch hitting and handing it over to the pen was the best opportunity to win the game.  Especially when Bud had been struggling with his command and just had one more inning in him anyway.

Dude!   The season's over.  Let it go.

Now you fucking tell me?  You were the one who had me all hopped up about 3rd or 4th place for an entire month.
