I'll be at the game tonight.  I'll be the dorky guy in the Astros hat, if you want to look for me.

I'm counting 20-30 fans in the stands. You shouldn't be that hard to pick out.

Problem is, damn near all of them are dorky looking. It's hard to narrow it down.

Q with a shot to left in T5 makes it 4-2 Good Guys (and to think I was a tad annoyed that Castro wasn't getting the start tonight...).

And Bud puts one over the head of the left fielder for a double.

And Keppinger with a cue-shot into center (mishandled by the CF) scores Bud. HOU 5-2.

Spaz lets his bat fly on the first pitch almost decapitating Carlos (who was stepping up from the dugout and into the on-deck circle.  Spaz flyout makes it 2 outs.

Hard single by Lee puts runners at 1B and 3B with 2 outs.

Blum with a 3-run home run to right makes it 8-2 Good Guys!

Norris 2B ruled an E. Still, those 7 runs scored in the 5th are the most runs in an inning for the Astros this season.

Norris 2B ruled an E. Still, those 7 runs scored in the 5th are the most runs in an inning for the Astros this season.

In the first third of the season, I had absolutely no confidence that the Astros could score runs once they fell behind. But now when they fall behind it's like it's no big deal: they're probably going to score some more somewhere along the line, and they may very well come all the way back. And it really helps that the pen generally makes sure that the other team has to score all of their runs in the first six innings.

Nice plays by Espinosa and Zimmerman there.

After an error-filled T5, the Nats make 3 highlight reel plays to put the Astros down in order in T6.

Living in PA, I'm getting this game on MASN, and I have to say that Ray Lopez (nee Knight) might be the most annoying goddamn color-man in broadcasting.

Yeah, subnuclear is apparently the anti-das.

What would happen if you put them in a room together?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Fulchino makes easy work of the Natinals in B8.  On to the 9th with the Astros leading 8-2.

What would happen if you put them in a room together?

Remember that game that was 15+ innings of horrible pitching on both sides and got rained out and the last half-inning had to played in Houston and ended in Houston losing in some freakishly abrupt way.  I'm pretty sure Das and I were both at the Washington part of that game.

So where were your partners in crime this evening?  Seems like DAS has posted in the last couple of weeks, but I don't recall seeing a Houston post in a while now.  Y'all planning on catching a game together before the Astros leave DC?

Little known secret: Mrs. Das attends games with Mr. Das, has become a Nats fan and as such, the BBGs may be smiling upon the Mister of the House in some unique and wonderful way.
