don't know. Probably because of guys they have on the roster like: Jason Whitten, Terrence Newman, DeMarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer, Andre Gurode, Jay Ratliff, Bradie James, Mike Jenkins, Matt McBriar (yes, he is a punter, but damn good), Leonard Davis, and Miles Austin. Along with the guys that have had "a good game in their career" as you stated.
DAMN good arguments can be made that Ware (OLB), Gurode (C), Jenkins (CB), Ratliff (NT/DL), McBriar (P), Austin (WR) and Whitten (TE) are all top 5 in the NFL at their positions. 7 positions where you are elite is pretty fucking talented, in my opinion.
Sporadic, for realz, do you not see how some of your posts fit this stereotype we're presenting about Cowboy fans/media/hangers-on? See, I could do exactly what you're doing for the Texans or almost any other team really. I'll take the players on a team that are solid players or at least have a rep for being solid players and I'll pretend like they're all stars, and then I'll take the best of that group and assert that they're top-of-the-league stars.
Here goes: The reason people call the Texans so talented is probably because of guys like Eric Winston, Vonta Leach (yes, he is a fullback but damn good), Owen Daniels, Kevin Walter (yes, he is a #2 receiver but damn good), Andre Johnson, Antoine Caldwell, Arian Foster, Matt Schaub, Brian Cushing, Mario Williams, Bernard Pollard, Demeco Ryans. DAMN good arguments can be made that Winston, Leach, Johnson, Schaub, Cushing, Williams, Pollard, Daniels (pre-knee-injury) and Ryans are all top 5 in the NFL at their positions. 9 positions where you are top 5 in the league is pretty fucking talented, in my opinion.
Sorry to make fun of your style, but don't you see how other ridiculous the Cowboy self-worship seems to other NFL fans?
