Thought some of you might find these interesting. The MODIS Terra imager passed directly over H.Igor yesterday, right as it was peaking with 150mph winds. This sensor captures full color visible images at 250m resolution. Click and wait (the image is a bit over 7mb):http://9yjl8q.blu.livefilestore.com/y1p7kS8Knj2jVlcuxUgn63MM2f42lg9MqZhofBgiWl2rozohW_z_AkFKRbIZfLDxQCDLgruOWe2wbJz83TX8cZQxYE2QmTo3rA3/Igor_2010256164500_250m.jpgEqually interesting but for different reasons, the GOES-15 post-launch test continues with test results being posted to the Proving Grounds. As a part of the test series, the Lockheed Martin engineers ocassionally will kick on the sensor's full image capture capability to perform calibration and stress tests. They did so yesterday and have posted the results. Here's something called a Super Rapid Scan loop of Igor. Resoulution is at 1km and images were captured ever 55 seconds instead of the normal 5 or 15 minute interval. You can see the image capture rate drop from 5 minutes to 55 seconds as they initiate SRS operations. Careful before you click, the loop is 38.5mb. http://9yjl8q.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pKajD7I2v6d9KpFEmNQQudylbX-b14tmWtfFIeOtpNQrDh6H6BgJmD2qyiV7XgOxQ3Ts4DNE2NrPxniAOky9-16XWdh1KXO5T/100913_g15_igor_vis_anim.gif
I may have married the wrong girl. She keeps correcting me when I call this storm Eye-Gore.
She probably doesn't appreciate great knockers either.
You should warn people when you post something NSFW...
Can you fault the man for being a fan of large breasts?
