I thought almost everybody hit better than their overall average when the bases were loaded. I guess I was way off.

Mother. Fucker.

Pence takes a bad route to a drive he should've gotten to and could only wave his glove at it so it could roll to the wall for a leadoff triple. Embarrassing.

So. Groundout to end a bases loaded threat and colossal fuckup to give the Dodgers the lead. Big night for Spaz, one that can only be atoned for with a game-winning HR?

Don't get me wrong. Of all the dumbass commercials they show on MLB.TV the Panera bread commercial isn't even in the top 10 worst.  That said, I've seen it 20 times minimum this evening.  Same exact commercial. Plays back-to-back every time.  Its been played in at least 10 different breaks between innings.

If you find out some day that Selig has been kidnapped and is being held hostage you should take solace in the fact that I'll have him well hidden, and he'll be forced to watch MLB.TV commercials back-to-back-to-back until he goes [even more] completely insane!

"News is supposed to be objective, isn't it? . . . But every drugs story is negative? . . . Same LSD story every time: "Young man on acid, thought he could fly, jumped out of a building. What a tragedy." What a dick! Don't go blaming acid on this guy. If he thought he could fly, why didn't he take off from the ground first to check it out? . . . I'd like to see a positive LSD story. Would that be newsworthy? Just once? Hear what it's all about? 'Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather.'"

You know how I know that? I don't know one child with a full time job and children. They're quick these kids. Fuckin' quick. But where did this veneration of childbirth come from? I missed that meeting. Childbirth is wonderful, childbirth is a miracle. Wrong. It's no more a miracle than eating food and a turd coming out your ass. You know what a miracle is? A miracle is raising a kid that doesn't talk at a movie theater.

If it were a miracle then not every nine months any yin yang in the world could drop a litter of these mewling cabbages on the planet. And in case you have not checked the single mom statistics lately the miracle is spreading like wildfire. Hallujeh. Trailer parks all over America filling up with little miracles. Thunk, thunk, thunk. Look at all my little miracles. Filling up my trailer like a sardine can. Look at them. You know what would be a little miracle? If I could remember your daddy's name. I guess I'll have to call you Trucker Jr. That's all I remember about your daddy was his fuzzy little pot belly riding on top of me shooting his caffeine ridden semen into my belly to produce my little water head miracle baby child. Thunk. There's your brother, Pizza Delivery Boy Jr., thunk here's your other brother, thunk here's your other brother, Will Work For Food Jr."

I'm not proud of it, but I was hungry. And I'm sitting there eating and reading a book. I don't know anybody, I'm alone, so I'm reading a book. The waitress comes over to me like, [gum smacking] "What'chu readin' for?" I had never been asked that. Not "What am I reading?", but "What am I reading for?" Goddangit, you stumped me. Hmm, why do I read? I suppose I read for a lot of reasons, one of the main ones being so I don't end up being a fucking waffle waitress."

Dunno, unless he was looking for something up but he got straight cheese. As did Spaz and Bourn's triple is wasted.

I can understand watching the first one, but that second pitch was begging to be crushed. I imagine he was figuring on getting a breaking pitch but got the fastball instead.

Yeah, but Bourn should have scored.

i wish he had come out of the box stronger.  i thought there was a chance the way that ball was carrying he could have an in the park homerun.  probably wishful thinking on my part, but he hit the ball a long way and he runs very fast.

I don't think they would have sent him, considering who they had coming to bat after. It just didn't work out.

I don't think they would have sent him, considering who they had coming to bat after. It just didn't work out.

i then thought they should have gone for a squeeze with kepp up to bat.

this seems to not be an interesting bottom of the inning.

I didn't see where the third baseman was, but with Kepp you've got to figure you're more likely to get a flyout than a successful squeeze.

i was hoping for a sac fly but had a feeling it wasn't going to happen.  it didn't.  all i needed was for bourn to score.  he did his job today.

now gibbons screws up.

Brutal play by Gibbons. He's pretty rough in the field, isn't he?

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride."

And we...kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real."

It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok... But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love.

The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace."
