Bourn's Wave
« on: September 09, 2010, 10:00:07 am »
As he caught the last out in Wrigley for the season and trotted back to the infield, Bourn turned and waved "See Ya!" to the bleacher bums.

Awesome.

I'm sure they've been giving him shit all year.  Jogging off the field at Wrigley with a win under your belt (actually, the Astros won ever series against the Lovables this year) and boos ringing in your ears has got to be one of the more joyous regular season experiences.  Along with serving Pooholes a heaping portion of oh-fer in a 3-game set.

Couldn't have been too noticeable: there weren't many creatures left by the end of the game.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy
