I had an open tab with Astros.com open in it.  All of the sudden, the game started playing in a new window.  First time that's ever happened for me.  Brewer's broadcast, for some reason.

Either Lance Berkman or Brian Moehler now for Faith Night.

I'll bet Lance gets inserted as a pinch-hitter tonight and everyone cries like a baby.

Think so?  I guess Yanks can't ask for him to not play

He was running hard right until he got to the base.  He then stutter stepped, probably trying to avoid a collision.  No problem for me.  Sure as hell no reason to boo.

Was the boo directed towards him or the ump (because the fans thought he should have been called safe)?

I'm sure it was directed at the ump, but still. If you're a fan of baseball, then your first reaction after a play like that should be "WOW".

And folks say that Yordani is a better defender than Bourn? I have a hard time imagining what that would look like.

What did he say?

He basically gave up on it early and called it foul.  Then seemed to change his mind after about 5 seconds of inane babble.  All the while really not giving us any hint that it was actually home run distance.

Michael Bourn's glove: where triples go to die!

And folks say that Yordani is a better defender than Bourn? I have a hard time imagining what that would look like.

you have never seen anyone as good as Yordany.

Imagine Bourn's speed and glove, and then graft on the best arm you've seen. That's Ramirez. Why he isn't getting ML time is a mystery to me.

So he's the anti-Pence?

Well, he has the strike zone discipline of Pence.

According to the article Matadorph just posted, being demoted to A to begin work as a pitcher.

NOTE: OF Yordany Ramirez was sent to Class-A Lexington after Friday's game; he will begin work as a pitcher in the Astros organization.

Me neither. Charlton Jimerson, who the hell was that guy from the Marlins?... Yo can play, and he's not nearly as impatient a hitter as those other CF call-ups, at least from what I've seen. Maybe he can pitch.

He would catch flies out in RCF and just dare runners on 2nd to take 3rd. And then gun a one-hop laser to 3rd. By this year everybody had their scouting reports and they didn't even bother to try, but Ramirez would still uncork a laser every now and then just to remind everybody what he has. I saw throws to 3rd from RCF beat guys by two strides.
