According to their Facebook page, it should be hitting store shelves now.

SWEET!!!  A little early for a marzen, traditionally speaking, but I'm an Oktoberfest kind of guy any time of year.

BTW...the thermo meter on the wall says it's only 97.  No fucking way it's that cool outside right now.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I agree.  Marzens are right up there in my favorite styles.

Saw it last night at HEB; seems a bit early, so maybe we'll see Frost/Chill/whatever the hell they call the winter ale this year in October.
Drinking for two.

I picked some up at Spec's yesterday. Pretty good.

the beer manager at Spec's told me that it is Shiner 96 with different hops.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I went to my local Spec's yesterday and couldn't find any.  I'm going to try again Thursday.  I'd love to have some to take with me to the Frio.

Real Ale's Oktoberfest is on shelves now, and it is fantastic.  St. Arnold's has always been one of my favorite "Oktoberfest" beers (although it's, by their own admission not a true Marzen), but the Real Ale one is just outstanding.
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
