Cards defense full of holes today.

I am really enjoying this Bourn / Keppinger top of the order.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

After that first swinging strike I thought, "It takes some nads to go inside on Holliday" and then Wandy goes over the middle of the plate...

12 LOB, 7 in scoring position. Astros lose, 4-2. Time for a break.

this CANNOT  be. Jeff Bagwell is the hitting coach.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Actually, he formally assumes his duties after the break so today will be the last time we see these sorts of LOB numbers. I guarantee it.

The team just watched Pujols take BP for instruction.

Well, no, but this team will learn what it means to be an alpha male at the after party bar and figure out what % of your pay goes to shutting up Bitches In Every Port.    This leads to leadership which leads to OPSing .900.

Baby steps, hogars.  Baby steps.

No, I was wondering when someone would ask this.  I was reading my posts and thought "wow, it really sounds like I hate Jeff Bagwell."

I don't.  I just, I guess, think I'm tired of this idea that he's some Great Leader of Men when in fact, he's just a cheater.   He happened to be my cheater for most of my young adulthood, so I love the guy to pieces and all that shit.  But let's call a spade a spade.   I actually have no problem with making him the hitting coach and Biggio the greeter at MMP.   Yes they're trying to sell tickets, that's what they do.  It's like a business n shit.

So the testimony of basically every single one of his teammates is meaningless to you?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Couldn't.  Care.   Less.

"Professional ball players" are not high on my list of "credible sources" on just about anything.   I'm not disputing that Bagwell was considered a great leader.  I'm wondering what that actually means and how it actually helped the team accomplish anything.   I think having a 1B that OPS'd .947 was more useful than his leadership.
