Bud Norris Facts via Viva El Birdos

A few among the many:

* Ludwick and Freese are faking their injuries so they don't have to face Bud Norris
* Alot of people have Albert Pujols jerseys. Pujols has a Bud Norris jersey.
* Bud Norris can induce a double play with the bases empty
* Used to beat up his brother Chuck just for fun before teaching pigs to dance.

Bourn looked safe, but then again I'm not wearing my glasses.

He looked safe but it was very close and the ump didn't have the best angle to see Bourn's feet on the bag.

It was a very tough call; I still don't know which way it really went. Schumaker (I think) made a really nice play letting the bouncing throw travel into Bourn so that he didn't have to try to swipe a tag.

Well, fuck. I think I would have preferred to see them go after Pujols because he hasn't had much luck against Norris, but it doesn't really matter because the Astros aren't going to score 3 runs anyway.

That ball sounded like a cannon shot off Holliday's bat.

Looked like one too. Holliday has a pair of howitzers.

I'm watching this shitfest from North Carolina thanks to Slingbox and a friendly Houstonian friend with a VCR and an internet connection!  The Fred Loya commercials almost make me feel like I'm back home in San Antonio!

I question Mills leaving Norris out there for the eighth inning. I would have said "great night, kid" after seven and turned it over to Lyon, rather than allowing Norris to give up the big home run that sealed the game, and then he runs our shitfest out there. I am convinced that Casey Daigle can't pitch in the big leagues. I'd DFA him today.

Me if I was the skipper. Maybe I didn't make that clear.

He was over 100 pitches at the end of the seventh inning, and the heart of the Cardinals order was coming up in the eighth. I would have thrown a different look at them.

Well, I'd of course say the exact same thing. However, if it was my job, and everyone, including me, is glad that I don't, I'd be more protective of the young pitcher.
