So the Rangers need a 1B now?
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed

But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Nah, they'll just go back to Chris Davis again.

Morosi is saying that they're giving up two pitchers and a position player in addition to Smoak. Beavan and Scheppers?

Beavan reported to be one of the pitchers, according to TR Sullivan.

Rangers trade: Justin Smoak, 1B; Blake Beavan, RHP; Josh Lueke, RHP; Matt Lawson, 2B/OF and get some cash back in the deal.

That's certainly more than we traded for the rental of Unit in '98.  And Lee ain't no Unit.

Good trade for Dallas, even if it's a rental. Lee can take them to their first playoff series win. On the other hand, they'll rue that trade if this year's team flames out early and Smoak kills them for the next ten years.

Best of all it clears the deck for Roy to become the belle of the ball.

That'd be this Josh Lueke.
