I could really go for an Aurelio Lopez "Senor Smoke" Special about now.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it

Funny, I didn't notice the extensive whine list on the menu the first time I read it.

Don't get me started!

I'd like a nice glass of Cabernet saufuckou.

i just reread that thread in its entirety. the TZ's finest hour.

I have a dozen or so "H-O-F threads" from over the years bookmarked, and every once in awhile I'll pull a few up and go back through them.  Always time well spent, IMO.

The Oswalt's restaurant thread is definitely one of them (A. "Fuckhouse" Footer herself even endorsed it, yes?)

I'd love to see your HOF threads. Unfortunately, I don't save any threads. I've been an asshole in a few threads that I'd love to forget, but I'm glad to remember so that I hopefully don't ever repeat them.

Here are a few:

The Front License Plate War.  I still don't really understand what happened here.  If you have ever wanted to see an established poster completely, shockingly self-immolate, though, this is the thread for you.

Joshua Dicks, an all-time classic.

Jack Sutherford.  Teacher.  Hero.  Barzilla jacking off publicly to his own idealized (actually, fantastical) conception of himself; also contains references to this thread, which you should omly read if you have always wanted to see someone (RyanED) descend from functional eccentricity into total madness within the space of a single thread.  While his "friends" cheered him on.  Chilling.

The "Reasons to Be Cheerful" Thread.  Hudson Hawk cements his infamy, among other things.

The Penis Is Mightier Than The Sword.  One of my favorites; a lot like the "Oswalt's Restaurant" thread, in that so many contributed, and it was a hell of a lot of fun.

Towlie Schools Us On. . . Everything!  The classic "oil production" thread.  Perhaps the greatest thread in the last half-century.

Sadly, the awesome "three-percenter" thread(s) - there were actually two, I think - have vanished into the ether, apparently.  If there was any way to retrieve them, they would be sent straight to the Smithsonian.

There are several more, but these are some of the best.

This is probably my all time favorite thread.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I was on a shoot in Toronto for 4 days during this thread so I missed it. While it's still a great read, I imagine watching the thread grow was a blast.

S-R is selling himself short by not including the Kip Wells thread.
