Geez, I always thought Hawk Harrelson was a pretty annoying announcer, but does he really mutter "he gone" whenever the White Sox strike somebody out? That is terrible. It is terribly stupid.

He has always sucked. He is worse today than he was yesterday. Each game he calls he lowers the standard for fucked up announcing. There is so much separation between him and a handful of other crappy announcers, I can't even think of anyone close to him. If they were to graph the shitty announcers on a chart based on their overall suckitude, they would need a third page just for Harrelson and no one would be on the second page.

The Cubs announced that he will be moved back into the bullpen when he returns from his suspension. Reports from Chicago say the Cubs have contacted the league office for guidance in how to deal with his suspension.

It's a safe bet that he won't be a Cubbie next year.

Zambrano already is calling his actions Friday ''completely misunderstood'' and blaming Derrek Lee for turning it into a big deal by confronting him during his ranting and raving after the White Sox' four-run first inning.

''All he wanted to do was pump the team up. It was completely misunderstood,'' a source close to Zambrano said, adding that Lee ''took it personal'' and told Zambrano to ''shut the f--- up.''

I used to like Harrelson 'til he quit baseball for pro golf.  That worked out really well didn't it.  Another announcer I get tired of is Tom Grieve.  He's gotten better the last couple of years but it used to pain him to say anything good about an opposing player.  It was always bad luck when someone made a nice defensive play, came up with a clutch hit or made a big pitch against the Rangers.  You could tell it pained him to say anything positive about anyone other than a Texas player.
