I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

they should be fine, they have played outside before.

I love outside baseball but that stadium in Arlington is an oven. All white and very tall, so the sun reflects down onto the field and there are no breeze spaces except for a tiny opening down the right field line. I've been to a few games there and it's insanely hot during the worst parts of the summer.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

At least it is a dry heat.

Yeah it's miserable.  I also went once and will never go back.  Stadium isn't that bad, but it's just not worth the pain.

The fucking "Natural" music is much more bothersome than the heat.

Absolutely friggin' hate it.  The fact that we've had to hear it over and over (and over and over and over) again the past couple of years doesn't help.
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

The pisser is, it's a great track for the film.

Try going in August... it is brutal!  I went to five games during the July/August timeframe several years back when I worked in Ft. Worth.  I kept waiting for the night breeze to cool things down.  It. Never. Happened.

Miserable doesn't begin to describe it.  Now I know what Colt 45 fans felt like.

Yeah. It's just stagnant hot air and blinding reflections. Stifling heat.

do the rangers not have ac.

The Twins' new $550MM stadium would have cost an additional $200MM (or .79 Alex Rodriguezeses, if you prefer) had they put a roof on it.

Thunderstorms in the Dallas area, earlier today... should keep heat down, but it's gonna feel muggy.

I've been saying that the Rangers won't ever go anywhere until they build a domed stadium for about 8 years now. You were pre-vindicated.

Well, yeah, in Alkie's version. But Fredia's was "pre-vindi8cated." Work with that one.
