Holy crap that's a terrible lineup.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

It's even worse when Berkman hits right-handed. Manzella in the 2 hole? Say it ain't so!

COL with 4 straight hits to begin the game and leads 3-0, no outs, runner on 1B.

JD: "It could go from bad to worse to flat out ugly here in a hurry..."

Moehler gets a K and a Helton DP to end the damage.  End 1: HOU 0, COL 3

Moehler leaves 2 stranded with a strikeout to end the 3rd.

End 3: HOU 0, COL 3

Kepp leads off the T4 with a double.  Seen 2 pitches tonight, with a single and a double.

Don't know if they showed this during the Stros broadcast, but on the Padres/Mets game, they just showed the Kepp is the 2nd hardest man in baseball this year to K.   Feliz is 5th hardest.

Manzella knocks in Kepp with a line drive long single to LF. HOU 1, COL 3.

Berkman with a little blooper to RF that doesn't fall. 1 out.

Lee singles to LF, no chance for Manzella to go to 3B. 1 out, runners on 1B and 2B.

Spaz: grounds out into a 6-4-3 DP to kill the threat.  Middle 4: HOU 1, COL 3

Moehler with a strike 'em out (Helton) through 'em out (Olivo) B6 for the Astros 4th DP of the night.  2 outs, none on.

Walks Mora on his 81st pitch of the evening.

Barmes: Moehler balks over Mora on the throw over (balking Bob Davidson behind the plate tonight in case you didn't guess) and IBBs Barmes.

Francis: grounds into a force out to 3B.

End 6: HOU 1, COL 3

I'll tell you what, Lee manufactured that run with the double, then really good baserunning.

Spaz put a charge into that one but just missed the HR, Lee tags and goes to 3B on the play after his leadoff double.  1 out, Lee on 3B.

Feliz is sawed off, but Lee able to score on the broken bat groundout to SS.  HOU 2, COL 3. 2 outs, none on, T7.

Michaels: singles deep into the hole at SS, throw not in time to get Michaels.  2 outs, runner on 1B.

Cash: looked like a gapper into right center, but CF over in a hurry to make the catch on the run. 3 outs.

Middle 7: HOU 2, COL 3

Lopez in to pitch B7.  Moehler with a very workmanlike performance. 6 IP, 9 H, 3 ER (all in B1).

DoRay noted Olivo is the best at throwing runners out.  (checking stats he had thrown out 16 of 29 would be basestealers prior to Berkman)

Fun inning.  Bourn running with Kepp at the plate, Kepp flies out to center, Bourn around 2B before he turns back towards 1B and still makes it back.  Balking Bob Davidson called a balk, excellent IF bunt single for Manzella, good baserunning by Berkman, etc...

Sweet catch by Michaels!  My feed was a tad choppy, did he rob the HR or would it have hit the top of the wall?

Was it?  I forget.  At any rate, he's slow as molasses to the plate and with Pence down 0-2, he's likely to get a breaking ball at his ankles.  If Lee gets thrown out, then you start the 9th with Pence and a fresh count.  Of course, Betancourt threw a high fastball, just to make me look bad.

Giambi with a 1-out, 1-on shot to deep left, but Michaels catches it well back on the track for out #2.  Grounder to Kepp (who tosses to Manzella for the force) ends the game.

Yeah, tough break for Belisle.  The ump didn't do him any favors with that ticky tack balk call.

Nice win tonight.  Sorry Matt B

bullshit balk call, and JD agreed. got to admit i was rooting for Matt against Manzella. i knew the LH would face Berkman.

good run, though--only gave up runs once in his last 16 outings before tonight. pretty good.

I sat in the outfield, maybe LCF but up some and the outfield is HUGE. Sitting out there puts you a very long way from the action.
