The score is already 6-3?

Just kidding.  But, if anybody is following, pbp would be great for us working schlubs.

Astros got one in the bottom of the first on an E6 to get Keppinger on, followed by singles by Berkman and Lee.  Pence then singled, but Lance was out at the plate (for the second out).
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Why Mr Happy WHHHHHYYYY.

Because if you can't consistently give the club six innings, you've got no business starting. Yesterday, Wandy went five innings and threw in excess of 110 pitches. He averaged just under 10 balls per inning. That's just not going to get it done.

I'm not hating on anyone. I merely pointed out that Wandy didn't get it done yesterday from a starter's perspective, even though he garnered a win. And I was clearly pulling for Moehler to go at least six. So I guess I just don't see the hate.

Who would you prefer? Daigle's not ideal, but the guys you'd usually put in there have either pitched a lot or been really bad of late.

I've been disappointed on how much this kids plays tight out there.  It is as if he's trying too hard to justify being out there (and taking his offense out there with him).  He needs to relax or else he's going to lose his job... and not because of his offensive woes either.

Speaking of defensive replacements, Riggleman puts SS Guzman in RF, and he just whiffed on a routine Berkman fly.

4-4 game.

Guzman error allows Bourn to score. 4-4 game. Some shitty defense this series.

And Carlos atones with a walk-off homer. Kabong indeed.

Tongue slightly in cheek, but I really don't think Lee's going to produce at even 1/3 of his remaining contract.

Yup.  Which is odd because you'd think from what I saw at RR several times, this would not be a problem.  He's a second late on reaction, as if the speed of the game is beyond him right now.  Running on quicksand.

What exactly did Guzman do on the error?

According to Milo, this is how the play panned out:

"Fly ball... right field.... (a sort of small sigh telling you he's about to say "and that's the ballgame" or something)... DROPPED!"  which of course doesn't describe the play at all.  Raymundo sort of said "he fumbled it around his knees", so I'm guessing it was a fly ball that was not a lazy can of corn, but should have been caught.  But it ate up Guzman because basically he doesn't know how to play a ball hit on a line.  Wound up muffing it.  Either that or Guzman was doing his best C. Lee impression.

It was a semi-shallow fly that Guzman had to run in on. Like Jim said, it looked like he misjudged it or maybe lost it.

I deduced that after a while, piecing together Milo's call and Raymond's semi-description.  The part about his knees gave me a clue that perhaps it was on a line and had overspin.  That ball on a day game or indoor game can be a problem for those who don't know how to play a line drive.

In Guzman's defense he has a total of 8 chances in the outfield for his entire major league career.

Edit: Chance #9 wasn't pretty.

Berkman post game on the "error"...  "Obviously the scorer has never played RF."

Berkman talked about what a difficult play it was.

Mills also when asked, If Carlos was coming up last in the next inning would you have taken him out?  He said probably....
