And Brandon Phillips with a solo shot to deep center to make it 1-1 B1.  Reds have now homered in 17 straight games...

After a little roller by Rolen down the 3B line for an infield single, Gomes gets a triple to deep right (just out of the reach of Spaz) to score Rolen.

Spaz: Line drive single into left center, Bourn scores, Kepp held at 2B.  HOU 2, CIN 2. 0 outs, runners at 1B and 2B.

Lee: hits a dribbler to the pitcher, runners advance. 1 out, runners at 2B and 3B.

B3: Wandy on the bump

Cairo: singles into left on the 2-2 pitch after going down 0-2. 0 out, runner on 1B.

Phillips (Cairo steals 2B on the 2-1 pitch): strikes out swinging. 1 out, runner on 2B.

Rolen: RBI double off the wall in left-center, Cairo scores. HOU 2, CIN 3. 1 out, runner on 2B.

Gomes: Knocks a laser just over the wall in left to put the Reds up 5-2. 1 out, none on. (Yes, its road-Wandy meets the Oswalt inning. Save the dribbler in the 1st, Reds pounding the crap out of the ball when they're not K'ing...).

Bruce: strikes out looking. 2 outs, none on.

Stubbs: struck out looking on the 3-2 pitch.

End 3: HOU 2, CIN 5

T4: LeCure on the mound, Dolan(?) in the booth...

Manzella: long fly into deep right-center, but Stubbs catches it against the wall while banging into the wall (Tommy was robbed on a nice play by Stubbs). 1 out, none on.

Q: Squeaks a base hit off the 1B glove and past 2Bman into right. 1 out, Q at 1B.

Wandy: sac bunt, Q to 2B.

Bourn: strikes out swinging. 3 outs.

Welcome back, Road Wandy.

Lost his composure in the 3rd.  New and improved Wandy was supposed to be over that.

B4: Wandy on the hill

Hannigan: Takes the 3-2 pitch to the hole at SS, Manzella gets a glove on it but can't make the play (correctly ruled a single). 0 out, runner on 1B.

LeCure: bunts in front of Q again, and Q with the force at 2B - throw to 1B not in time for the DP. 1 out, runner at 1B.

Cabrera: drops a bloop into no-mans land down the line in right, runners holds at 2B. 1 out, runners at 1B and 2B.

Cairo: Walk. 1 out, bases juiced.

And Mills up to send Wandy to the showers.  Good thing he went deep into the game with Moehler coming out of the pen to start tomorrow...

B4 (1 out, bases juiced): HOU 2, CIN 5

B4 (1 out, bases juiced): Chacin on the hill

Phillips: singles into left, Lee's throw home not in time to keep Cabrera from scoring from 2B. HOU 2, CIN 7.  1 out, runners at 1B and 2B.

Rolen: ropes one high and deep to left, going, going, gone... Holy crap, Carlos Lee times his jump perfectly and catches it high (for Carlos) against the wall for the out!!! 2 outs, runners at 1B and 2B.

Gomes: walks on the 3-2 pitch (not a bad changeup just off the corner).  2 outs, bases juiced again...

Bruce: Goes 3-1, half-swing high-inside FB to go 3-2, but then walks. HOU 2, CIN 8. 2 outs, bases still juiced...

Stubbs (9th Red batter of the inning): goes 3-0, high strike makes it 3-1 (mercy call), swinging strike brings the count full, strikes out swinging. 3 outs.

End 4: HOU 2, CIN 8

Unless someone is just dying to read a PBP of the pitching shitfest, I'm going to take a couple of innings (or the rest of the night) off...

Puma not seeing jack to hit tonight with Feliz behind him. 3 walks (including 1 IBB). Feliz strands 2 with a cracked-bat roller to 2B.  Anyone else thinking it may be Johnson that is called up when the Astros go back down to 12 pitchers?

I'm done with the Feliz experiment. This team isn't going anywhere so lets see what Johnson does.

And on a positive note, Castro 2-3 so far tonight for Round Rock thru 6 (raising his average to .281), only to be outdone by Clemens at Corpus, who is 3-3 with 2 HRs thru 6...
