not that -anybody- knows the actual definition of a balk, but joe west surely had it out for buehrle on the second call.  way to make it all about yourself.

They never should have let that asshole come back after the umpires' strike. They screwed Frank Pulli in that deal. West looks for trouble. Most of the umpires that I knew didn't like him.

I just watched the video of it, and neither one of the balk calls was an obvious balk. Just Joe West being a cocksucker.

Also, unmentioned so far, Angel Fucking Hernandez is in the same ump crew as Joe West? Good lord.

I'd say the clock is ticking on his departure after this stunt.  An ump trying to be in the headlines is bad business all around.

Not to really defend the guy, but he might have the publicist for his music "career," couldn't he?

ETA: Not that even that excuses advertising what series he's working, but at least it explains him working with a publicist.
