Paulino is predictable trouble early, walking two in a row. Men on 1B and 2B with one out.

JD thinks it might be time for Paulino to come off of the fastball.

2 on, 1 out, 2-1 count to Tulowitzki... c'mon, here.

Certainly there's someone in the minors who deserves a shot over Paulino.

Stros are 1-16 in his last 17 appearances.   Brown Chris Holt.

DOH! Whassisface totally dropped that ball. Gonzalez? Kepp ends up with a double, scoring Speedy Bournzales, the fastest baserunner in aaaaalll Houstonco. Tied at 1, 3-2 count, no outs, Twinkie up.

Paulino just needs to learn to pitch in the stretch.

But he walked the first hitter when he was out of the windup. He just needs to learn how to pitch. Period. He's a thrower.

Sadly, for many there is no difference.

I was talking to someone about that this week.   It's amazing how widely accepted this has become in 2010.   There are entire relationships now, I mean for years or lifetimes where two people have never met each other.

I'd like to say "there's nothing wrong with that" but it seems to me there's something unnatural about it.

Never in his wildest dreams did Stern think he could have a Boston-LA finals this year. Now that it's suddenly possible, there's no way he'll miss the opportunity.

You plagiarized the NBA logo for your second grade art project?  Nice.

There was no logo back then, I don't think. I just drew number 44, Zeke from Cabin Creek!

would you have wanted anyone besides keppinger up at that time?  i had no doubt he'd get a hit.  now, if it had been any of the 3-4-5 hitters the doubt would have been there.

That's it, no one gets to give me shit in here for moving to NYC anymore.

Absolutely not. He's easily the most consistent hitter we've got right now.

Yes.   We're all actually from Houston.

The Bulls back then weren't as good as my team. Butterbean Love and Chet the Jet, IIRC. Their point guard was a bald-headed guy who was not a real good offensive player.

Yes.   We're all actually from Houston.

Good.

Oh, and I told some friends the other day, I really like the Rays.  When I told them part of the reason is b/c Carl Crawford is a Houston kid, they all told me I have a stronger bond to Houston than any of them do to their home town.  Does that make me weird?

Astros with the W! Brandon Lyon now leads the team in wins.

Was thinking the same thing.  Had no idea he was still in the league.

Doesn't mean I can't hate them. Bobby Weiss is the guy you're thinking about. Jerry Sloan and Norm Van Lier. Clifford Ray. Tom Boerwinkle. Nothing but the most elite athletes.

What more can be done? They're already completely cut off from the rest of the world, and you can't start another shooting war on the peninsula over the loss of one ship. What's left? Sink one of their ships next time you get the chance?
