What would be really funny is if Oswalt suffered from the fielding ineptitude of either "corner outfielder," and I use that term loosely, and Oswalt would bitchslap the guilty party as they came off of the field.

I've got some scotch and a cigar for tonight, and I shall be watching.  I'm gonna try to get 'em a win.  I promise.

That would be Jimmy D's slump-buster ugly jacket.  It's got some powerful mojo in it.  I too am confident that the good guys will prevail tonight.  Had chicken for lunch just in case, however landscaping tonight is out of the question... allergies are too high right now.

only if the hitters get to do the same to him after yet another Oswalt Inning

But it wouldn't be as funny, in my opinion. As a former pitcher, I'd have liked to have slapped the hitters/fielders around sometime. Of course, they probably would have said the same about me when I would lose my control and start walking men.

I think the last time a prolonged slump was busted, there were marshmallows involved.

10th pitch for carlos makes it a walk.

good at-bat, even though he did try to kill bourn twice.

1st pitch to PENCE! was a fastball that drifted over the middle of the plate, and he watched it for a strike.  My guess,  swinging strike 3 on some shit off the outside corner.

Berkman's timing is way off.  He was so far out in front of that pitch he could have hit it on the follow through.

Roy with a 12 pitch AB single.  (JD: May be the Astros best at bat all year).  Q running on the 3-2 pitch, about 6 times, looked like he needed oxygen out there...

He didn't tag him on the foot, it was on the lower leg, after he hit the bag.  At least that's how I saw it.

No. the ump was already signalling safe when the ball rolled away from Manzella. He missed the lower leg like Rifraft said.

So let me understand you stupid MLB.TV IDIOTS, I can watch 5 STUPID-ASS COMMERCIALS in a row just fine, but I'm having problems with watching the game because my internet connection is too slow?  Screw y'all. Admittedly when I do your bandwidth check it comes up with 200ish KBPS, but speed tests on other sites show in the thousands.  Screw y'all.  Idiots.

Who cares, it had no effect on the game, except RoyO had to throw a couple extra pitches.  Now, explain what the fuck Q was swinging at with the first 2 pitches, before getting called out on strike 3 on the outside corner...

He may have been out but that's not what the ump saw. He had called the runner safe before the ball got away. NM.

Nice AB, Humberto. Swung at two pitches you couldn't hit and that were balls, and then you took strike three.

Now, explain what the fuck Q was swinging at with the first 2 pitches, before getting called out on strike 3 on the outside corner...

First pitch was a high fastball.  Second pitch was a change up.  They set him up pretty good.

Anyone care to throw out an inning and game score.  I know it's not nearly as exciting as some conversation about a tag that occurred innings ago, but I'd really friggin like to know...

I was hoping someone would explain what Q was thinking swinging at 2 completely unhittable pitches, before watching the hittable one go by.

i have a question.  if you take some ordinary vodka, not rot-gut but not too special either, and run it through a brita water filter a few times, will it knock out the impurities and taste better?  always wondered that, never got around to wasting a water filter to find out.  is that how tito's does it?

It depends on the impurities.  You run the risk of filtering the taste out too.

oh man, you guys not watching this game are missing out!  astros may not have the talent to solve the witches the dbag keep pushing to the mound, but by god they're gonna go down fighting if they go down at all.  berkman & pence especially just had tough as nails at-bats, not giving an inch, fighting off tough pitch after tough pitch until they finally just caught one they couldn't handle.  still, gracious in defeat they were, tipping their caps to the pitcher and taking their seats in the dugout.  somedays you're just not the better team.  i salute you astros!!!  they may not contend this year, but you gotta be optimistic for the future with the moxie they're showing.

looked like he trapped it just barely in his glove, but mlbtv only showed one replay before going off air.  either way, whatever.
