So the Eagles traded him for a 2nd rounder to a division opponent. Anyone else think this stinks of bad karma waiting to happen?

And Kolb? Seriously?

I think the deal was a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th (not sure what that depends on).

Don't keep up with the Eggles.  Will they resign Vick?

I think they did resign Vick, not sure on that though. Too lazy to look it up. But Kolb is going to be the  new starter.

the 3rd or 4th is in the 11 draft.  I am sure there are some performance measures that determine the value of the pick.

Vick's option was picked up last month so he got a $1.5M roster bonus. If he remains on the team, which seems likely now, he'll get $5.5M more.

I heard Greenberg interview Reid this morning.  Reid said he was offered more for Kolb than McNabb but he did what was "best for the team".  I may be wrong but it sounds like strictly a cost cutting deal.

Given that the Skins originally offered Albert Haynesworth, it was very much a cost cutting move.

That was my take on it too, although I spent more time than I care to divulge reading Eggles fan reaction to the trade. They are seriously pissed off.

Most Eaglefan reaction I've seen has been "good trade, bad trade partner."
