Opening Day 2010??
« on: October 26, 2009, 04:22:40 pm »
Our Astros group ticket rep called today--we can put down a deposit ($1.00 per ticket) for Opening Day tickets.  I am willing to front the deposit money if there are enough interested, however, I CANNOT pay for everyone's ticket if everyone cancels.

Opening Day is April 5 at 6:05 p.m. vs the San Francisco Giants

Who is interested in (and willing to commit to) buying a ticket?

Did the rep say if the seats could be in a different location?

On November 9 they will have choices for seating, there should be a better place to sit, and we could move to a higher ticket area if we like.  We are limited to only 30 tickets, though.

Where would you rather sit?

behind home plate rather than the outfield.  That is just my preference.

Unless I've actually been committed before April, I can commit to joining the group.

Ok, I'll try.  What is the max everyone wants to spend on a ticket?

If you can get the 300 level the tickets should be about $22 each.

You know I'm down.  I like to party.  It's how I roll.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I'm in, and I'll actually be there this time.  I'm not renewing my season ticket as (a) I get plenty of opportunities to go to games anyway; (b) with the changes they made last season, the benefits of paying extra for Club Level seats are diminished; and (c) one of my small group is suing my company over something ridiculously small and petty.

Count me in.  My only seat preference is for it to be near somewhere that sells Shiner.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

I'll go to the game, just not sure with whom.  Due to lack of SnS outings the past couple years, I started going with friends to Opening Day.  Not sure I want to bail on them, or try and force them into this group.  But, I would still chauffer you around for the day if you were to come to the game.

Are you into bi-coastal chauffeuring? Just asking...

So far I count 21.  I'll go ahead and put down a deposit.  On November 7 I will try to post some options on ticket prices and locations, but I will have to reply to them quickly to get a good spot.
