I don't know why he came up with this now, it's been speculated for quite some time. Maybe Bohls needed a weekend off and pulled this out of his drawer.

It makes sense for the Express, I suppose, but it would really suck. It certainly would diminish my enjoyment of the Express.

Does it really make sense for the Express, or is it the inability of McLane and Ryan to get along that's driving this?

That would be an awfully short-sighted view of it... the Rangers are not historically known for their strong farm.

hasnt this been much discussed. did any of you see the simpsons where the springfield isotopes where being sold and no one believed homer till they saw the food was southwest. i think this may be a perfect example of the case

This is why I don't read newspapers. This has been speculated about for months on here and just now someone at a paper gets around to actually writing an article about it.

This move helps the Rangers more than the Express IMO. I believe he will hold out on having the affiliation change until he gets an ownership stake (or owns the team outright). In the mean time, flirting with the Rangers may cause the Astros to improve their product at AAA (we hope).

way, way off base. i sincerely believe the two sides do not like each other at all. whether that prevents a business deal remains to be seen.

It's all smoke. I don't think anyone expects them to change affiliations during the current contract, which is what 90% of that article is about. AFTER the current contracts expire, all bets are off.

In 10th grade, we had an assignment to imagine where we'd be at age 20, 30, 40, 50, etc. At 30 I was doing play-by-play for the Toros, and at 40 working with Milo.
