HA! i told Mark last night Pence would be moved up to 5th today.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I'm more surprised he is actually putting Keppinger in the lineup. Did someone wake him from his nap to tell him Sean West was a left handed pitcher?  Certainly not Ed Romero if so!

These constant lineup changes surely have to be getting Wade/Smith's attention.

They should keep testing Hampton's knee

Cantu hits a 2 run HR with 2 outs. Hampton just can't make it out of the first without getting scored on.

From what I can see tonight, Hampton is doing well. He made a bad 3-2 pitch to Cantu, who hit it a mile. But other than that, he's got some dip in his sinker. Hopefully, he can give us six quality innings.

Hampton with a golden opportunity to help his cause, hits a single up the middle scoring Quintero. Q hurts himself sliding into home.

Miggy batting, Q is getting his ankle tapped up on the bench. Tejada hits a liner that carries to the right fielder who makes the catch for the third out. After 4.5, Marlins 2 Astros 1.

West grounds out to short for the first out.
Hampton strikes out Coghlan, two away.
Boneyface gets an infield single down the third base line. Kepp tries a bare-hand grab but the throw is off and late.
Ramirez flies out to left field for the third out.

After 5 innings it's Marlins 3 Astros 1

Hampton looks good for another inning.

I was JUST thinking - what the fuck are the Astros doing running Sampson out there every fucking game? Do they expect him just magically to become effective at some point in the future? Why not put Backe in the starting rotation and hope he wins the Cy Young someday?

Talk about somebody getting screwed over, Sampson had a 2.09 ERA as late as June 26th when
Cooper used him for the 6th time in 7 games. Straight downhill after that, including a stint on the DL after the July 10th game.
