Wanna meet for grub beforehand?

I have MikeyBoy's ticket for Saturday.  The problem is that it's in a box.  I have lots of boxes and they all look the same.

Geez, is anyone attending?

If you want, you can all mail them to me and I can meet up with any SnSers who want them before the game and distribute them.

Just be careful, or your pants may end up around your ankles.

Not really.  I sit around with my pants down all the time.  One of the perks of living alone again.

For OD, we ate lunch at Spanish Flowers and had some beers at the Flying Saucer before walking over to MMP.    I'm not sure what the plans are this time, but knowing this group, odds are good that we will meet for drinks before the game at least.

It's a solid rundown sports bar (you know that my preferences run that way).  They usually have some PBR or other swill-beer special, which is great when you are pre-gaming for a show at Warehouse Live.  That's pretty much the only times I've been there.  The bartenders tend to pour a heavy shot as well.  Avoid it like the plague on Saturdays in the Fall.

I've been to Lucky's but not 1820.

Lucky's is not bad for a gathering place.  Not as nice as Saucer, but not a hole either.

Anyone ever been to Eighteen-Twenty Bar?

It's the one place near the ballpark that I've never been (and halfway between Irma's and MMPUS!)

Here's what one friend told me:

Quote
It’s very laid back and certainly nothing fancy.  JoyStix next door is fun for a while since it gave a chance to relive my youth with classic video and pinball games.  The “for awhile” part is because I was never very big into that stuff
not like a friend I had who flunked out of A&M because of too much time playing Astroids and PacMan (that’ll show my age!)
but I digress.

It’s an ok place to meet before a ballgame since it’s close to the ballpark.  I did have to laugh at the review that said it was a good place for a first date.  That guy definitely only dates very low-maintenance women or doesn’t get many second dates.  I suggest you stay clear of him if he’s there.

So, is there going to be an early meeting for this group?

I'm fine with whatever the group decides, but meeting for drinks before the game sounds good to me.

And hopefully that person will perform an excorcism on the ticket to remove any das-streaks from it.

Usually a quick run through the wash will get rid of das-streaks, but this one is pretty serious.

You can't just "lose" that type of evil influence; it has to be unmade by casting it into the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged.

The ticket just "fell out of your pocket" when you weren't looking, right? Have you had any riddle contests with hobbits? If we don't destroy this evil, I fear we will have to summon the Council of Elrond.

Coach might be the closest thing we have....  Elrond was, what, 400 years old or something?  I don't remember Jim having pointy ears, but I'm sure JA can fix that.

Since it's getting late in the day, I'll make the executive decision and suggest that we go somewhere I've never been, so that way I won't catch shit if everybody hates it.

Unless Budgirl says otherwise, let's plan on getting together at 18-20 Bar around 4:30 or 5:00.

Noe, is that alright with Budgirl?

Also, all the fans who cheered Hunter's every move.  I'd trade him just so that I didn't have to listen to those ignorant fucks anymore.

Until they pick out the next Astro Demi-God.

They should be excited to watch Mach Bourn play, on either side of the ball.

On Saturday, they cheered HP making the routinest or routine catches in RF.  Not to worry though, because if he keeps on sucking at the plate like he has since the ASB, they'll figure it out.  Eventually.
