Bottom 1:

Small ball (Pence single, Lee single, Tejada single) scores 1 run.

Top 2:
Ortiz gives up 2 singles and a walk to load the bases. FC scores a run.  SO strands 2 runners
Drinking for two.

Butler smashed one towards the train tracks T3 to make it 2-1 Royals.
Astros getting the bat on the ball well enough against Grienke, but not a lot to show for it.

End 3: KC 2, HOU1

Pudge to the mound after Arias' leads off the inning with a walk and pops him upside the back of the head, twice.  Nice!

Nice work by Arias. I don't think I've ever seen him express joy or satisfaction on the field- even when Bourn made the falling-down catch on the hill, when the camera panned to Arias, he's stoic, or at most slightly annoyed-looking.

Pudge fouls the first one back.  Takes the next pitch just low for ball 1.  Fouls the 1-1 pitch away, 1-2. Strikes out swinging on a heater.  1 out, runners on 1B and 2B.  Matsui up.

Kazmat: Takes the first pitch for a ball, 1-0.  Heater on the outside corner, top of the zone, 1-1 (iffy).  Same pitch, a tad iffier...  1-2.  Swings at a floater headed towards his hands.  2 outs, runners at 1B and 2B.  Michaels PH for LaTroy.

Bunts one of the fastest guys in the league over with no outs in the 8th and doesn't bunt runners on 1B and 2B over with no outs and a true DP threat at the dish in the 9th.  Makes perfect sense in 'Coop world' I guess...

If I ran the team, Cooper's ass would be grass tomorrow.    Not bunting in the 9th is indefensible and I want to smack sense into him every time he bunts bourn to 2nd.    Let the speed demon steal 2nd first, then you can decide if you want to bunt him to 3rd depending on the situation.

He just doesn't deserve to keep his job.
