Let me lay some facts on you:
1) I have somehow really gained about 5 pounds since moving to NYC 3 weeks ago. This sucks, especially if you consider I walk about 12 miles a week now (12 miles more per week than I was walking in Houston).
2) It isn't just the weight, I feel rounder and look terrible.
3) I understand that a lot of this has to do with my serious increase in alcohol consumption since moving here. Before the move, we had really cut back to Fri/Sat only drinking and even then, not heavily at all. Since we've been here, we've gone back to either 3 beers a nice or a bottle of wine each per night. Without exception.
4) I kind of like going down to the wine store at night and picking something out and sitting on my terrace. I'm not sure I want to give that up.
5) It appears that a bottle of red wine is about 500 calories and 3 of the beers we're drinking comes out to about 700 calories. I'd rather not go back to drinking girly drinks.
