You had him until 'Spikes and Stars'...  Well done though!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

That's pretty cool. My mom has lived in Asheville for about 3 years now but I still have not made it to a Tourists game. What did you think of the experience?

It is a nice older ball park.  Seats about 3500 so it is a small intimate venue.  Box seats are plastic fold down with backs, the gen. admission is bleachers.  When I go see the Legends, I get box seats behind or near the 1st base dugout (visitors).  Players are very accessible before the games.  Park opens 1 hour before game time.

Field is small (343 to dead center) but there are 20 foot tall fences from Left around to R center.  The fence in right (297) to RC is about 30 feet high.  So alot of doubles and outfield assist opportunities.  We saw one outfield assist and several bang bang plays from the outfield the night we were there.

It is only an 1 1/4 drive over the mountain to Greeneville - so if you ever make it to Asheville and want to take in a G-stro game, give me a call.

What does it cost to go to a minor league game anyway?  We like to go to the Aeros games here, and the ticket prices aren't even in the same universe as NHL tix.  Just curious if it's the same with baseball....

They go up as you go up the ladder.

Greeneville - $6 reserved / 5 Gen. Admit
Asheville (only because we ahve been talking about them) - $10 box seats
Lexington -$10-14
Corpus - $10 reserved (12 day of game)
Round Rock - $12 box seats
Always ready to go to a game.

Thanks, I would love to see the G-stros some time. My next trip down is early August but only briefly before heading to Edisto Beach, SC. I may pop over to Charleston then where the Legends will be in town.
