Well, I was going to call that an Astros clusterfuck, but the Brewers managed to out-clusterfuck us.

Competing clusterfucks!  Yessir, it's Astros baseball 2009!

Now we need a bases loaded triple steal by the Astros where somehow everyone ends up scoring on 2 throwing errors and a fielding error.

This game would be tied if Carlos Lee wasn't dragging a bass boat around the bases.

C'mon Blum. You've got to get the run in. No Hampton. That's a mixed blessing. He wasn't sharp tonight.

Bourn. Caught in a pickle and manages to slide safely into first.  Matsui scores.

My 14 yr-old, "Wow........wow..........wow, you gotta be kidding me."

Bourn stayed close to Fielder and as he made the throw he slipped behind him, Fielder blocked the second man in the the pickle and Bourn was able to get close to 1st.  On the 2nd throw, the throw went left Bourn went right and the fielder had to spin to try to make the tag, he spun around and his throw to first was late. Brilliant base running by Bourn.

Turned on the Astros game in the 5th.  2-1 and our starter is out, and apparently we've botched a rundown.  MLIA.

Brewers botched the run down, with an assist by Bourn.  Miggy choked a throw to the plate.

Pudge should be tagging people out at home on shallow flies to the outfield rather than having to worry about shouting CUT because the throws are totally fucking off line. That was ridiculous.

Shouting "CUT" is his job.  I agree that the throws were bad, but that doesn't excuse Pudge from doing his, especially considering if he was, they'd have still gotten outs.

... they'd have still gotten outs.

Not that I could tell. I didn't see anyone who would have been thrown out with the outfield throw cutoff.

In all fairness to Hunter his last throw in was marred by a spring-training like bounce. It was off line, of course, but probably not as bad as it looked.

In all fairness to Hunter his last throw in was marred by a spring-training like bounce. It was off line, of course, but probably not as bad as it looked.

Fielder was easily out, by several steps, had the throw from Bourn been relayed.  Braun probably not, but a relay is the only shot you have on a throw that far off the mark.  Letting the throw go through serves no purpose whatsoever.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I think that Pudge could have gotten the Tejada throw, but I don't fault him on the Bourn and Pence throws. They were, well, not good.

The throw from Tejada was a tough play.  I fault Pudge for not having the other two throws cut.

Agreed now on all counts. C'mon home team!

Man, Villanueva must've been throwing some nasty stuff there.  Made 'em all look bad.

What, now you are a Brewer troll?  Everyone knows the Astros play their home games in Milwaukee...

The only problem with the La Vieja Habana coronas is that they burn too fast.

Wow.  Homer, homer, walk, triple, sac fly.

Wish that would've happened in this game.  Shoulda won this one.

Not to mention at least 2 more in the 4 game cincy series, and both games of the Nat series.

Hoffman looked very good. Old bastard. Tim Wakefield won his fifth today. He's become my hero--old knuckleballer.
