I was surprised to see Wagler demoted. I thought he was holding his own at CC. He looked good Thursday when I saw him on TV.
A) The Astros are being much more aggressive with promoting prospects than in the past.
B) That means they are willing sacrifice non-prospects playing well for the sake of development (which is standard across all orgs) and pushing the prospects quickly (which isn't always standard).
C) Wagler was needed in Lancaster as their staff isn't very good and the loss of Lo made them worse.
Wade's influence is showing in a multitude of areas.
