Four Astros were born after Jan. 1, 1980:

Jeff Keppinger: 1980
Michael Bourn: 1982
Hunter Pence: 1983
Wesley Wright: 1985

Reading the Pence thread below reminded me how important is progress is to the future of this team.

Sean: I believe you find it in the Rs section.

Sean: Not in the Rs, that's not what your mother said.

What really should make it you feel old isn't that someone born after 1980 is in the majors. It should be that someone born in 1980 will be 30 years old in a few months.

What *really* makes you feel old is having been in High School (or maybe even College) before some of these people now complaining about being old were born.

In some other posting (maybe gamezone) there was talk of the wheel.  I was surprised not to see any JimR smack about the invention of said item.

BTW Coach, it was nice to finally meet you.  All the "old guy" smack is largely undeserved.  The irritable and WFW stuff still applies, but I have better understanding of it now.

Watching someone play minor league baseball (Joe Morgan), make it to the big leagues and then into the HOF makes one realize that time really does fly past.
