You're pretty sure about the motive here?
I agree that some of the bitterness gets tiring, but it is certainly true that the recent crop of retreads at RR has not been able to hang with the 89-ers the last couple of years.  Hope springs eternal, and I think the up-the-middle & outfield defense this year will help the "seasoned citizen" AAAA pitching staff and the Express may just get some decent offense ... both from the few genuine prospects on the team and a couple of the journeymen.  That said, I think the "gaps" in the organization that are referred to here and there are going to make it hard for RR 
or CC to be dominant for at least another year or two.  And given fan focus on W/L, that can be a problem for minor league ownership.  Unfortuntely, a shift to the stRangers would put a whole new crop of giddy first-timer butts in the seats.
And back to the dominant theme of the thread ... maybe some of the bitterness and all of the reaction to the bitterness would be better handled (as someone suggested already) by PM.
