Mark and I visited with him during BP, and he pitched 2 innings. Good day for the Raups.

Looking forward to all your ST eyewitness reports again, Jim- keep 'em coming (and of course any Astros info you pick up).

Dodgers lineup yesterday included Ausmus and Loretta.

Matt loves the Rockies. The Astros never returned his call.

The Astros should have at least done that.

He should have told them he had a ranch nearby.

Who's his agent?  I'll get crackin' some skulls.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

His agent was last seen running through an Asian jungle trying to get his TiVo connected.

I really don't understand it.  If he didn't make the Stros he would have been a good draw for the Express.

I doubt RR attendance is a consideration.

A friend of mine has had a similar experience with the Astros, twice.  I'm guessing that there are a lot of players living both in Texas and outside of Texas who would like to be in the Astros organization.  There's a lot of guys who would like to play for Houston (or Round Rock) and Wade can't sign them all, so that's certainly part of it.  That said, they obviously look at factors that are not apparent to the casual observer on the surface.  Like, Belisle, for example and how signing him would involve extra security at games in order to restrain former coaches who insist that the grip on his change up is all wrong or that he's not wearing stirrups.  That sort of thing.
