Best team in the NL after the break. Won 14 of 15 before the hurricane. These types of statements do not increase confidence in this nutjobs ability to evaluate players. Or maybe he was trying to be edgy like Bill James. He tempts karmic retribution, somebody needs to dump a bucket of seawater on this newt every time he goes to write a column. The other thing is the premise is wrong. The problem was not playing in Milwaukee, the Astros swept the Cubs the last time they played them in Chicago so that's not an issue. The problem was scheduling the games at all. Many games around the league were postponed from that weekend.

Other, non-Keith Law endorsed teams are "untalented," and those teams are just "hot" when they beat a Keith Law Bestest Team. They "match up well," you see. Invariably, his "work" ends up at the website of whatever subset he's opted to deride that week, meaning I find myself reading his work (or the first paragraph of his work) a couple of times per year. I've always been impressed by the amount of shit in baseball. Horseshit calls by umps, bullshit from the clubhouse, and catshit from writers.
