Most unlikely run ever?

I have to say this August - September run, after the loss of Carlos Lee, just has me speechless.  Consecutive names in the recap of last night's win: Moehler, Erstad, Abercrombie, and Newhan.  Who would have predicted that in March?

I don't know how this run will shape an honest assessment of the team for 2009, but it sure has been fun.

I don't know what the fuck you are talking about. The Astros are winding down into another miserable off season because Ed Wade put together (another) shitty team.

2004 was pretty special, 15-30 to start the season, 36-10 to end it. That offense was something to watch, once it got going in the later months.

I stopped watching when Wade decided the Astros were buyers instead of sellers.

In 2004, it was Andy Pettitte going down and then the team took off.  In 2008, it's Carlos Lee, although I realize it started with him still healthy. 

Not that 2008 is a run to the playoffs like 2004 was, but it has been similarly unlikely.
