Please list the topics you'd like to discuss in this thread.

I will once again be monitoring the board, as if anyone is going to post during the show.  I get the feeling like it's the old Letterman Show on NBC where no one is watching/listening, so what does it matter what I say?  Keep that up, won't you? No calls in 3 weeks...let's make it 4.

This week we'll be talking about the Astros and the tripping on their dicks against the Brewers, The end of CY Young Week, and the schedule going forward.

What are you doing to become .500 today?

Will Carl Everet turn into oil some day, or is belief in dinosaurs required to undergo this process?

Is there a possible difference of opinion on Michael Bourn's value (Ed Wade loves the kid, Cecil Cooper loves to bench the kid)?  Is that difference of opinion based on Cooper's desire to get to 90 wins at any cost?  Is that a right move or a delusional one?

What was the best off season move by Wade/Smith last off season?

Tejada?
Valverdee?
Rule 5 Draftee Wright?
Others?
Always ready to go to a game.

Nonsense, this team is in contention.

They'll need extras to spell the regulars once they've clinched the wildcard.

Not that I listen to Houston Radio much but:

- What is the expected impact/contribution of the recent waivers acquisitions (Castillo, Arias) in Houston or the minors?

- Now that some of the 2008 draftees are starting to play rookie ball, how do they look in their first few weeks?

- Is Brocail (effectively) done for the season and what is the thought on his overuse in the first half?

Are the shows ever transcribed?  If so, are the transcripts ever posted anywhere?
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

They are transcribed on SnS beforehand and regurgitated on the air. With a dash of Zipper twang.
Oye. Vamos, vamos.

You misunderstood Steve's comment.  He was saying that the Astros gave away three young arms for Tejada, and we couldn't get that NOW, so the trade was a bust.

I would trade Pence if the deal were right.

I didn't misunderstand Steve's comment.  I didn't hear it.  I answered Raheel's comment.

I did not mean just you (even though that is what I posted).  It was meant for whoever answered Steve.

the trade was not a bust.

Sarfate was the only one in that deal i cared about.

Agreed. Sarfate has a live arm. I had hoped to have kept him.
