For a conditional draft pick depending on the numbers of snaps taken and the Jets' success.

I hope the fucking Jets go 0-16 and Favre plays every snap for them.

Fucking drama queen.

That's awesome.  He'll be back to being an interception machine in no time.

Oh well. The sad story of another great athlete who didn't know when it was time to go. Who can remember Johnny U in a Chargers uni? Or Willie Mays falling down between 2B and 3B for the steM? Though I generally find him repulsive, Jim Brown set the standard for going out at the tip of his game. Favre had a good year last year; he should have left well enough alone in retirement. The Jets suck, and he's not really going to help them.

He has been a drama queen, and if he wanted to keep playing he should have never had his crying press conference and "retired."

With that said, if an athlete wants to keep playing, I don't have any qualms with it.  Keep playing.  He's the one on the court or field or what have you, not me.  Plus, when given the opportunity to play a freaking sport that you love, and make a few extra million while you are at it.. would most people  decline??  He's playing a game! I know a lot of people not in position to do so, sitting at home pulling a 9-5, would say "sure, I'd go out on top"... not so sure that would really happen if I was given the opportunity though.

These guys aren't even 40, which is old in the world of sports... but a lot of people at 40 aren't going to be worn down, content, and want to settle down on a ranch watching the cows.  Still got some life in them.  Just my opinion.

Favre has threatened to retire ever since he went to his first Super Bowl, in 1996.  He is Clemens without the 15-year old country singers.

I read a report yesterday that said Favre changed his mine 2 or 3 times this offseason before this latest saga occurred.

In Mississippi, they don't have to be country singers.

In Mississippi, everyone is a country singer.
