Looks like folks are observing a GZ of silence in your honor today.  Happy birthday Mrs. Doe!!!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

I sure hope that somebody returns the May/June Berkman soon. The July version isn't all that great.

At the end of June he was at .365/.448/.699. In July he has gone .204/.381/.265, leaving him at .342/.438/.638 for the year. His last HR was June 30.

He was bouncing around .300 until he caught fire at the beginning of May. From May 2 to May 18, he hit .565/.625/1.065 (!) to get his average up to .399. I think that's as high as it's been this season.

Yeah but Stros threw the bucket of runs that is Hernandez.  It would have been nice to pull out a win.

Huh? Hernandez and the rest held PIT to 2 runs through 8 innings. What's wrong with that?

Living in PA, I don't get to see too many games on TV. But after watching tonight, I just cannot comprehend the fact that McLane and Wade still think The Good Guys have a shot at this season.

this is the kind of loss that might dispel such a notion-- if there really was one to begin with.

Jim Carrey's inanely funny Dumb and Dumber quote, "So you're telling me there's a chance," would regrettably seem to fit Russe's scenario.

"(512) ybbodeus looks just as creepy in HD as in person."   That is a problem, and we are working on it.
