J.R. Towles will probably get lost on the way back to Round Rock.

As long as he doesn't stop to eat on the way, at like an Applebee's, he should be fine.  Otherwise, one look at a plate, and he'd be disoriented for days.

Corpus Christi sounds like Towles' kind of town.

That'd actually be a shocker.

I assume they're sending Santangelo back to CC when Towles goes down but I'm not sure that will be an upgrade for RR.

Nominated.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

It's highly unlikely Santangelo will be a major league catcher.  Towles mastered AA pitching.  It would be an upgrade for RR if Towles got his act together.  If not, then 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other, Towles/Santangelo.  And everyone will be waiting for Castro.

I have been a Towles advocate since I saw him play rookie ball here in G'ville in 04.  He only hit .235 that year but has torn it up since then with this year being the notable exception.  Let's give this kid some time to develop in AAA as he should have been given this year.  He was rushed.  I still think he can be a MLB serviceable catcher.

I'm not sure the Astros will be that patient with him.  It's not excatly this organization's virtue right now.

perhaps, but i see nothing that says major leaguer. he did not "tear it up" in AAA.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

If he gets sent down, does that mean FSN will quit running that ridiculous spot wherein Towles reveals his clown envy?  Also, it appears Miley Cyrus is already showing an inclination for edging toward the Britney/Lindsay Trailer Park of Broken Dreams.  Luckily she has her dad around to offer career guidance.  I am assuming that is why she pays him.

I like the part where he says he hasn't checked into it yet to see what the pay scale is.  I went to www.salary.com and punched in "rodeo clown" but.  .  .  nothing.
