Current MLB standings show the Astros with a 0.6 percent chance to make the playoffs, better than only the Nationals.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

As of this morning, they're 13 1/2 games out in the division and behind every other team in their division. They're behind at least 8 teams (I think) in the wild card (not counting the three current division leaders). Getting back in contention seems very unlikely. Too many other teams will have to get infected with whatever the Astros have.
