I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Go fuck yourself, umpire.  He MADE Backe throw that meatball.  Did you see where the first pitch called a ball was??  Even Brownie freaking called it a strike.

Bunch a 2 out rallies for the Buccos. This is definately a lackluster series in terms of the Astros' execution. They've been a step behind many plays in the field, and the pitchers have struggled closing out innings.

Must have been a long road trip for the fellas.

This Sampson guy is a pretty good reliever.

It's time to say goodbye to Jose Jr.  This is about some dead weight if there ever was any.

Wow, I don't know what's more dead tonight, the GZ or the Astros' bats.

3 runs is more than you've scored in a week.  But still not enough to defeat the mighty Bucs.

2-7 road trip.  Really sad.  Let's see what they can do coming home now for an extended stretch.

Limping in barely above .500, they better enjoy home cookin'.

Yup, else all this crap about the schedule being in their favor from now out is just that... crap.  I don't understand entirely about schedules making that much of a difference.  What I think is important is two things: 1) How well your competition is playing and 2) How well you're playing.  You can play anywhere when you're going well and you can play just as lousy at home as anywhere else.

I want to see for myself if the home cooking will jump start Lee and Tejada, make Oswalt all of sudden the Oswalt of old, make Chacon a little more smarter, make balls land in gloves more than skip under them and force Cooper to quit messing with the lineup so much.

They're in great shape: I'll driving across Texas and New Mexico and won't be able to see any of the three games against the Coards. That should give them the lift they need.
