Toronto and surrounding area.
« on: May 29, 2008, 05:49:22 pm »
I'm heading north the week following July 4th. I have to be in Rochester, NY the weekend of the 11th, but plan to spend the preceding week on the Canada side of the lake, obviously taking in Niagara Falls on the way from Toronto to Rochester. The Blue Jays are hosting the Orioles that week, so it will be fun to catch a game or two at Skydome (a place I have been in awe of since my adolescence and the famous story about the open curtains at the hotel).

Anybody have any Toronto tips? Any good suggestions for exploring the Ontarian wilderness? I hear Georgian Bay is gorgeous and good place for hiking/biking. Anyone know much about this part of the world?

Table dances are much cheaper in Toronto than in Houston.  However, the looney is a little hard to slip into a g-string.

Also, watch out for the beer.  Even Bud is 6% up there.

Tears well up in my eyes when I think of what has become of the exchange rate.  In my college days, we used to road trip up to Montreal for "40% off table dance sales" at *ear muffs ladies* Super Sex Close Contact.  That. is. really. the. name.

There used to be a strip joint outside of Boston called "The Golden Banana."

I made that same trip to Montreal every Columbus Day weekend (Thanksgiving for them) when I was in college. Everything was so laughably cheap and intoxicating. Good old Club Supersexe. A true classic.

Hostel Clerk: "Hello, and welcome to Amsterdam's finest and most luxurious youth hostel. We feature one medium sized room containing 70 beds which can sleep up to 375 bodies a night. There is no bathroom. Nor is there one nearby. If you do not wish to have your valuables stolen I suggest destroying them or discarding them right now. You can also try hiding your valuables. In your anus. This will deter some but of course not all thieves. Once you are inside, the doors are chained and locked from the outside. They will not be opened again until morning, no matter what. Should a fire occur due to our faulty wiring or, uh, the fireworks factory upstairs you will be incinerated along with the valuables that you have hidden in your anus. Tips are greatly appreciated."

This isn't where I parked my car.
You tell me another gang in New York that has its own dental plan.
