Wigginton on 3rd, 2 outs

Bourn hits a soft grounder back to Eaton, on to 1st, 3 outs.  Wigginton stranded at 3B.

JD brings up the fact that Mike Schmidt hit .196 and Biggio was .211 in their rookie years, so just hold out on Bourn.

Burrell has homered in his last 2 AB against the Astros.

This time he pops to Wigginton right on the 3B line, maybe a little foul, camera angle not great.

Milo and Do-Ray got him to stay in the booth for an inning and a half...I love #7

Any details about what he said?

Wigginton on 1B.

Backe

waits through 3 pickoff attempts, bunts foul (sprints down to 1B, announcers tell him to save his energy), Backe bunts between Eaton and Howard. Bunt single. Wigginton to 2B.

Obviously he forgot his conversation with Pam.  Anaheim Jim woulda made that one into a highlight (if he were able to get to it).

Ain't that the truth. Several weeks ago (maybe months, I can't remember) there were several passes where the ISS was being chased by the shuttle and a Russian unmanned resupply ship. They were passing over Austin in the eastern sky in mid-evening, so we got the full benefit of the setting sun. I swear you could see the solar panels of the ISS without any magnification. When I think about the science and engineering it takes to make that stuff work it takes my breath away.

Gotta conserve him a bit, as he's 3rd in the league in appearances with 25 so far (and will likely be called to pitch a lot more than normal with Geary out)...

When I think about the science and engineering it takes to make that stuff work it takes my breath away.

And the Earth orbit stuff is now considered basically routine. This kind of space engineering is what now amazes me.

Bases juiced for Howard.

On the first pitch, Howard hits one to Berkman who tosses to Brocail.  3 outs.

Good grief, glad they got outta that one with no damage done.

Ball hit him on the right cheekbone after deflecting off the glove.  Didn't look like there was a deflection at first.  He is throwing again. Looks ok.  Man-oh-man. That was some scary shit.

Feliz credited with an RBI single.

Pence talking about Valverde in the postgame interview:

"I gotta tell you, that's the most amazing thing I've ever seen and if that doesn't make you want to play for somebody, then I don't know what does.  *** That makes you want to lay out, run into walls, do whatever it takes to get the win for him, because that's a soldier right there."

Strong outing for Backe, good night at the plate for Spaz, and balls-of-steel performance by PAPA GRANDE.  Damn nice win tonight!

Question is, is he the Cyberdyne model T-1000 (polyalloy), or cyberorganism model 101 modeled after the T-800?

I will ponder this all night.

Hey guys thanks for all the pbp during the game.  It's greatly appreciated and really is the most reliable way for me to follow what is going on in a game now.

I used to subscride to MLB.TV and listen to the internet radio before they came on and took over all the game broadcasts and started to suck the blood out of me.  It was pretty good until the past few years where the reliability of the feed has since become horrible and unreliable.  This was the first year that I did not renew my subscription for MLB.TV and I don't miss it at all thanks to you guys.

Anyhow go 'Stros!!!

He's doing it wrong.  His spikes are supposed to be aimed at the catcher's ankle.

No matter how close the catcher is to the plate.
