Good outing.  Needs to have a shock collar around his nut sack for Cooper to buzz whenever he leaves the ball up.

Good they give one to Edmonds, just for the hell of it?

If they shocked him every time he made it so he had to dive for a routine fly ball his balls would end up vibrating like a nudist colony in Antarctica.

Actually, that's a simile, not really an analogy.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Eh...my fault, I'm used to similes using "like or as"

My South Carolina education fails me again!  Would you like to explain a metaphor now?

Had you gone to public schools in Midland, you would have recognized the word "like" in cougar's post.  A metaphor is an implicit comparison.  A simile is similar to a metaphor, but is a direct comparison using the words "like" or "as".  It's a much more specific description.  An analogy is more of a logical argument.

Yeah, but once that West Texas sand gets in your teeth, you never want to leave.

Reminds of the explanation as to why toothpaste was invented in West Texas.  Because if it had been invented anywhere else, it would've been called "theethpaste".

When Limey takes his citizenship test, he'll be asked to spell: color, analyze, and memorize.  He will, of course, fail at this and will be immediately deported back to the mother country to live out his life as a shrubber or maybe a typesetter at the Guardian.  But, at least he'll be able to get a decent goddamn cup of tea.

With regards to spelling, I respectfully direct everyone to check the timestamp on the post and then be amazed that I actually got that whole post out there at all!

Considering that, during the entire intervening 10 hours (and for 2 hours before that), I had been drinking, I think it was very impressive, if misguided.
