Since Coop started resting guys and playing around with the lineups, the defense has had some problems.  Multiple errors in last few games.

Is this a factor of them being tired or Coop's substitutions?

ETA:  11 errors this week.  Piss poor.

Does Noe's lack of depth perception contribute to his long-winded posts?

Noe's comment regarding Geary, and the constraint that puts on Cooper's options,  was particular, well observed and subtle.  Not the type of insight you expect on sports talk radio.  I'm glad they let him talk.  Nieve's success tonight gives the Astros some hope they'll replace that piece of the puzzle.

I dunno, I listened to the podcast and man oh man, I should've gone with my cocoa crispy story instead.  I could swear I heard snoring in the audience on that call!

No, I think this is an important point.  For possibly the only interval on the radio this week, somebody was talking about the Astros and not talking about themselves talking about how they're much smarter than the Astros. No one is watching the Astros and explaining why they do what they do.  The Geary problem is not a complicated issue.   But describing Cooper's problem at that point puts that game in perspective certainly.  Why Villareal was left in the game and what Nieve could mean to the team are all discussions that could begin with this observation.  But you're likely correct.  This type of discussion does not attract listeners the way Palillo and Davies do when they bellow that Bourn should be sent back to the minors, and, hopefully, deliberately misunderstand his role on the team.  For the sake of the listening, and calling in, audience.  Describing the Astros bullpen situation, or why Pence should hit 6th instead of 1st,  is infinitely more interesting, to me at least, than a recitation of how Berkman's statistics compare to players who played 50 or even 30 years ago.  Berkman is not comparable to Rose, nor Williams, I dont need historical perspective to understand what Berkman means to the Astros today.  But it does fill column inches.
