Does the guy in the hat still do the radar gun for the Dodgers?
I remember that guy. Don't see him. Stadium has changed, the seats behind the plate are different. It used to be a miles of foul ground,
and why isn't towles catching?
Yeah, they changed the area behind the plate several years ago. As I recall, there used to be a sort of sunken area behind the plate, and that guy (with a great mustache) was back there in his Panama hat. But they added new high-dollar seats a few years ago, and I guess they eliminated his spot.
Damn, Pots, that's a lame joke.
As an added plus, EI has the game in HD tonight!
and because the Dodgers run a lot.
Vin Scully is the best.
To you maybe, but that's my favorite skit of all time.
and lance continues to crush the ball
See, this inning is a perfect example of it doesn't matter if the 8-hole hitter is a scrub, if the middle of the order guys do their job.
But what if he wasn't a scrub, wouldn't that be better?
What do you do with Andruw after another month of this? Glad the Astros didn't pursue that. 170, 1HR, 4RBI?
It's hard to believe that Jones is still only 30 years old.
JD is just dying to say "Hu's on first."
31
Still, it seems like he's been in the league forever.
16 for 16.
if that young man can get on base on a more frequent basis, good things like steals happen16
Good things: doubles after a stolen base.
Bourn would have scored from 1B on that.
Nice situational hitting by Tejada. Kids, take note of that inside-out swing with no outs and runner at 2B.
Pooductive out.
Go ahead, bunt when you're down 4-0.
over/under on how long Moehler lasts?
lakers are losing?? yeah.
I hate them both
I'm rooting for an asteroid impact.
Brownie just said 55-60 pitches, didn't he? That would be right after this at-bat.
See, how it works is, the train moves, not the station
48 pitches so far, if he goes 5 he's in the rotation. Brownie ate the dots, hang on this could get freaky
Hunter will swing at anything. Except strike 3.
I don't want to jinx it, but Moehler is looking good so far. Pretty impressive and just hit 94 after a fair string of 92's.
Careful! Jackastro mar wrureca whole recap about you.
Answer to the question.Rube Marquard.
That was a damned tough pitch. I can't fault him for that.
Jeff Pfeffer?
Here ya go BG: My not-so Favorite Martian.
Lowe has been spotting that pitch all night. Pence set himself up for it by flailing atvthe first two pitches.
jeff pfeffer is the correct answer
Nice job by Pence on that beach ball relay
he hit the cut off man
That bobblehead looks more like Chuck Connors than Oswalt.
those bobbleheads never look like the player
Don't fuck with Chuck
scatman currothers.
Why won't they say who's batting?
All these 60's TV shows are killing me.Roy would make a cool rifleman.
Grounded out at second, I'm not sure who hit it
Is that DeWitt related to Joyce DeWitt from Three's Company?
those dots are really starting to mess with JD
Coupla runs here would be nice.
What do you do when you're branded? And you know you're a man
how fucking scary would he be if he did this for the rest of the season?
I think Limey is on the dots, too.
You can see Lance snickering around the bases, probably hard to believe just how easy it is right now.
On the Amber.
Would you like to making fuck?BER SERK KER!!
makes for a fun evening
have any of you texted in a vote on any of the polls this year?
I've been on an Amber before. Forgot her last name.
you looking to get in trouble with the wife??
i did it once last week
She's not watching.
which poll?
Moehler is putting some pressure on Sampson. Could get interesting. Imagine Moehler becoming the pitcher the Astros need.
Moehler looks like a guy who is pitching for his life tonight.
I think Backe has a much longer leash than Sampson
i get less of his jokes than anyone elses

This just in: Jazz defeat Lakers. Bavetta's streak remains unbroken.
We may have a big enough lead that it will be safe to bring Borkowski in.
It's Joe Pendleton!
annette benning didn't look all that great.
.Thanks, its literally been 40 plus years since I've seen that. I remember that beginning like it wasyesterday. The rest of the show? Well not so much.
screw you. i like borkowski.
I think that's a compliment. She's obviously comfortable with her age, which is a good thing. I doubt that Warren is on many A lists anymore, either.
With Larry Storch as Master Po? My memory is a little hazy.
Just the facts
That was F Troop.
thank goodness for pitching changes. allows for bathroom visits.
the tote bag is really nice.glad i got one.
Brownie is envious.
C'mon. Lets hold on and shut these fuckers out.
And go pound some Budweiser.
i hate west coast games, i'm tired.
WFW, I have the alarm set @ 4:45 am
That's insane.
well, silly, change the time.
Tell that to the man I'm relieving on shift in the morning.
nah, that's dedication
Just call him now, tell him that the Astros are on and you'll be a little late.
It's a whole different ballgame when someone is waiting on you so they can go home.
I said it was dedication.
nice play
Yep. Y'know if Berkman played for the Yanks, there would be one of those Breaking News thingies at the bottom of ESPN: Berkman makes an out.
I was a bit surprised that Berkman didn't make the headlines on mlb.com either of the last two days. Fuck 'em; they'll have to take notice at some point.
probably needs more pine tar
But you can't swing hard unless you're gripping the bat tightly.
I've never understood how you could hold a bat so loosely that it would fly out of your hand.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMxqPRdR36I
yeah, cards lost
Izzy blows it again. Fuck'em.
Another Izzy explosion? Excellent!
What the fuck was that musical interlude? My husband is snoring so loudly beside me I couldn't hear it all?Hit for Brad! Budgirl gets her wish.
Oh shit, they are going to play that song everytime Ausmus comes up to bat?
As long as he gets a hit every time.
What the fuck was that musical interlude? My husband is snoring so loudly beside me I couldn't hear it all?
It was this http://www.baseball-almanac.com/poetry/vanlinglemungo.shtml
Thanks, I listened to the whole thing. I saw those guys at Austin Opera House right after that album released. It was damn good for the time. They had some beautiful chicks singing backup harmony.
Song in the background while some dude reads Casey at the bat.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LKC90m1c3Q
I think I was there that night too. Who opened for them?ETA: Wait, did they open for Foghat?
That's it!
Another link--Didn't listen, didn't want to download.http://play.rhapsody.com/davefrishberg/classics/vanlinglemungo?didAutoplayBounce=true
These LA radio announcers are terrible, y'all are killing me with the idea of JD and Brownie on dots...It was great to hear the announcers talk about the Dodgers' biggest comeback of the year being 3 runs right after we scored our sixth.
geary in the 9th or who?
cat is still on fire.
Who is at short.
who is at first.
someone needs to call for the ball.
No, at SS.
berkman needs a stolen base
Moving Tejada to the 3 spot made all the difference in the world.
That's why you're half a pope.
Scully: "So again if you compare the numbers 3,4, and 5, Dodgers and Astros, no comparison. Certainly not tonight."
oh shit, Hu's not at SS?
Damn, no shutout.
You were Cabrerr'ed.
yeah, he did look good, but it is only one game.
was that Borkowski's first appearance since Cooper's fit?
I saw that earlier. It just fit again.
Nice victory, and a fun time in the GZ, Nighters~
I am not anticipating a new career for Moehler. I'm saying his performance tonite was a bolt of lightning that got a W. Chacon has had 5 or 6 damn fine starts with nothing to show but innings and a fair ERA. Its just one of those twists of fate.
have fun at work today
I forgot you do things double.*I'm ducking*
Gee thanks. Want me to call you when I wake?
sure
Wouldn't that be an Izzplosion?
Isringhausterfuck.
