I remember that guy. Don't see him. Stadium has changed, the seats behind the plate are different. It used to be a miles of foul ground,

Normally I hate it when I get the opposing teams broadcaster(s) on EI (as opposed to JD and Brownie).  I don't seem to mind to much against the Dodgers.  As an added plus, EI has the game in HD tonight!

Yeah, they changed the area behind the plate several years ago. As I recall, there used to be a sort of sunken area behind the plate, and that guy (with a great mustache) was back there in his Panama hat. But they added new high-dollar seats a few years ago, and I guess they eliminated his spot.

Michael needs to steal some bases tonight.  Good things happen when he steals bases.

Probably because Towles is hitting .145 vs RHP and because the Dodgers run a lot.

Looks like they changed the dugouts too, not near as much foul ground as before.

As an added plus, EI has the game in HD tonight!

I get the benefit of it saying it's in HD on the Guide, but it coming in as SD.  I searched all 1234 channels and this seems to be the only feed.  Sigh.

I couldn't give a crap about the Dodgers, but find myself watching their games here and again just to listen to him.  Was a great cast in 'For the Love of the Game' as well.

See, this inning is a perfect example of it doesn't matter if the 8-hole hitter is a scrub, if the middle of the order guys do their job.

It's hard to believe that Jones is still only 30 years old.

But if the pitcher had been batting 8th he could have bunted the runners over and then Ausmus "might" have driven in a run and certainly wouldn't have GIDP.

Two World Series home runs in a game when he was 19 will do that.

The scary thing is, Bourn hasn't learned to get a good jump yet.  Wait until he does.

Nice situational hitting by Tejada.  Kids, take note of that inside-out swing with no outs and runner at 2B.

Bourn would have scored from 1B on that.

Of course he would have.

Nice situational hitting by Tejada.  Kids, take note of that inside-out swing with no outs and runner at 2B.

Pooductive out.

This lineup just keeps on giving.  Now showing how well it can adjust to the bigger park, with speed and good situational hitting.  Just as potent as it is playing long ball in the smaller parks.

Thing of beauty!

Those watching the Dodgers feed, isn't Andruw in center despite Scully continuing to say it's Kemp?  Guess you just let it slide, he's on a roll.

Lowe has been spotting that pitch all night.  Pence set himself up for it by flailing atvthe first two pitches.

Absolutely. But I'm not going to knock him for not flailing at a third one. That wasn't hittable, and his only hope was that it would be called a ball. It wasn't, and them's the breaks.

Career. Oh, OK. I wasn't paying that close attention. So what else is new.
Marquard was single season. They were teammates.

Yep. Y'know if Berkman played for the Yanks, there would be one of those Breaking News thingies at the bottom of ESPN: Berkman makes an out.

Thanks, I listened to the whole thing.
I saw those guys at Austin Opera House right after that album released. It was damn good for the time.
They had some beautiful chicks singing backup harmony.

I think I was there that night too. Who opened for them?

ETA: Wait, did they open for Foghat?

I don't remember who, if anyone, opened. Driving up from SA, I was probably late. I don't think Foghat was involved. I'm pretty
sure 38 Special was the headliner.

These LA radio announcers are terrible, y'all are killing me with the idea of JD and Brownie on dots...
It was great to hear the announcers talk about the Dodgers' biggest comeback of the year being 3 runs right after we scored our sixth.

I am not anticipating a new career for Moehler. I'm saying his performance tonite was a bolt of lightning that got a W. Chacon has had 5 or 6 damn fine starts with nothing to show but innings and a fair ERA. Its just one of those twists of fate.
