Aaaaaaaaaand Towles with the tag on stand-up Sheets... this, boys and girls, is what happens when you're took cocky to slide into home.

Sheets just hit an RBI double, then Kendall hit another off the wall that Lee barehanded on the rebound, fired a strike to Tejada, who fired a laser to Towles to nail Sheets as he was trying to score standing up.

Dunno 'bout cocky, but if Sheets were an Astro I wouldn't want him to slide either. He's injured enough.

What's the deal with Sunday blackouts? Dish is blocking me on the normal FSN channels that I watch every day, even though the feed is there again today. But I'm picking up a shitty my20 feed on channel 449 that looks like it's being shot with a 20-year-old camcorder.

I am hoping he meant petulant outbursts by the manager.

5 innings of bullpen work to go...fair chance that one gets scratched off the list as well.

Okay, so the homer in me still thinks that this is one of those games that this years lineup is capable of pulling out...

That ouighta be it for Sampson as a starter.

I rode up the elevator with Sampson's family last night.  Nice folks, and I'm sure Sampson's a nice guy too.  But he doesn't need to start again any time soon.

Lookee there... the slow bat by Cheito gets a hit!

This couldn't be right can it? There has got to be more then 31 ABs against the Astros this year in 32 games you would think. Maybe huge quantities of walks and sacrifices round out the plate appearances

Pence really emulates Biggio.

Threw high nothing but breaking stuff, the last two pitches were low and away. The pitch he struck out on was the exact same pitch they threw him 2-2.

Never saw it coming...I really thought my guys would take two of three.  Unfortuantely for us LSU was getting hot at the right time.  Looks like we'll take 2 of 3 from the Gators this weekend though.

I hate the Gators. LSU has stunk it up for most of the season. But we seem to be hot now.

What a shitty picture. They should call it "my20pixels."

On the other hand, I'd really like to thank whoever told me you could pick up the My20 HD picture here in Houston over rabbit ears.  I grabbed an old pair of 'em out of my garage, hooked it up to the Sony, and boom, HD for all the my20 games.  Sweet picture too.

What kind of dumb fuck fan doesn't give his team the best possible chance to catch a ball in foul territory, especially when it's a hitter like Fielder?  Bullshit.

Bottom 9: Brocail in for Wright.

Weeks: struck out swinging. 1 out, none on. (b, cs, cs, ss).

Cameron: walked. 1 out, runner on 1B. (b, b, b, cs, cs, b- good looking pitch, darn sure looked like a strike).

Braun: struck out swinging. 2 outs, runner on 1B. (throw over, throw over, fb, throw over, cs, fb, throw over, ss).

Fielder: Makeable catch into the stands down 1B line, Matsui can easily make the play but a dumbass fan reaches to make the catch.  Next play throw over, Berkman gets his hand jammed but stays in the game.. Popped up to Brocail for the 3rd out. (throw over, b, b-high and tight, cs, fb, throw over, Berkman can't hold on or would have had him, bip).

There was another douchetard's glove reaching in there too - his other hand was on his cellphone in his ear.  They really ought to require people in the first three rows to pass some kind of test.

He sarcastically laughed then shook his head after he turned his back on the HP ump before the play at first, IIRC.

You better hold Berkman on. He's apt to run at any time.

Back to .500. This team has a shot to make some noise. Seeing how they have already been out West a couple of times and had to gel as a team I think .500 is better than expected. This team might just win 88-90 games.

Not that I'm complaining, but why does anyone throw Pence fastballs?

Okay, so the homer in me still thinks that this is one of those games that this years lineup is capable of pulling out...

Sometimes it ain't bad to be a bit of a homer...  GREAT WIN TODAY.  Sweep the Brewers, get back to .500, and have a day off tomorrow.

And lest we forget...

a bunch of goose eggs (Bork excluded) by the bullpen.  A huge component needed for continued success.

You are correct, sir. I still wouldn't throw strikes to Pence right now, as he's still inclined to get himself out on pitches out of the zone.
Not that I'm complaining, but why does anyone throw Pence fastballs?

Glad that Stetter didn't listen to you guys.

Because they don't have anything else to throw?

Because they don't have anything else to throw?

The previous inning, it looked like they got Pence out by throwing a fastball up around he eyeballs.  He hit it but popped it up to Hall.  Looked like Kendall called for the same pitch, fastball up in his eyeballs (because Pence is such a free swinger, if it's anywhere near the plate, he's hacking).  The pitcher missed the spot and Hunter made him pay.
